As in life, there are no short term profits in Paintless Dent Removal. I really care about my customers and the cars they love, and go about doing things the "right" way.

 

I have personally trained hundreds of Paintless Dent Removal techs in the USA; including many here in the DC metro area. I've recently returned to my DC metro area home in Virginia where I grew up, from 3 years in Singapore teaching PDR to Chinese and Indians, then 6 years working for Hertz, Dollar, and Thrifty in Florida and supervising their car reconditioning operations at Ft. Lauderdale and Miami.

There are many, even older PDR techs here who the first thing they want to do is drill a hole in your door jam!  It's because they are either lazy or don't know how to glue pull. Do you really want holes drilled in your car? I will not drill holes in your car. I will take the time to remove whatever pieces and parts are needed for the best access to the dents without drilling.

Companies with large beautiful indoor locations usually charge much more for their Paintless Dent Removal work, and I have no problem with that. For one reason I think their rent may be $8000+ per month. In the mid-2000's I had a shop at Tyson's for 5 years where my rent was $5000 per month. No more! That's why I am a mobile dent removal company now which is reflected in my competitive pricing.

 

As in any business or industry you have the good, the bad, and the ugly. The main issue is that "bad" PDR can't usually be corrected, so that means a trip to a conventional body shop for bondo and paint, at triple the cost and wait time to get your car back.

I try not to judge the work I see done by other dent techs after the fact, because I don't know what the damage looked like before the PDR tech started the job.

The person could have been one of the many new PDR techs running around the DC metro with only weeks of training, or they may have bitten off more than they could chew. Not all PDR techs care, and not all are created equal!  Our dent repair work is 100% Guaranteed.
